Exeter

Hey, I’m visiting uni of Exeter in 2 weeks, what do people recommend I check out when I go there (food, hang out spots, libraries etc)?
Thanks
Ok, so make sure you check out the forum as that is a big key building with includes things like food options, hang-out spots & has the main library. Also, within the forum you'll find the Guild (in the Devonshire House part of the building) which also has lots of seating & the odd food option.

Lovely hang-out spot is Reed Hall Gardens, definitely check that out.
Northcott Theatre (right next to the Guild) is one of the main theatres in the whole city & has a lovely cafe, so that's a nice place to check out.
Also, there are pretty outdoor spaces at the bottom of campus, near the Business School buildings & near the blocks of lafrowda accommodation buildings.

Happy to give more recs on anything else if needed!

Hey Anonymous #1,

I absolutely agree with what the previous commenter has said! They’ve nailed it with the recommendations. I’d also really recommend simply exploring campus and seeing where you find yourself. Exeter isn’t a massive campus, and it’s fairly easy to walk around.

If you have the chance, I’d also go into town as if you do study with us, you’ll probably be spending a lot of time there. The Quay makes a lovely walk and the Cathedral is a great place to sit and relax with friends, and there’s plenty of bars and eateries too. The city is quite old in places and some of the buildings are very unique and have a lot of history. Bottom line of this is - just explore and enjoy your time in Exeter! Any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

All the best,

Jen,
University of Exeter student ambassador
