Does Halifax college still have a problem with silverfish? I can’t afford a room other then the 99 per week room, but I’m also terrified of insects and don’t think I could handle them 😭.

Hiya, I was in Halifax. Honestly the silverfish problem is also the same with basically all of the colleges on West, not sure why it’s such a Halifax stereotype 😂. The only time you’re gonna see them is at night when the light sensors turn on and even then they just go straight back into the walls. It’s a really good college in terms of the price!

Hi, thanks for the reply! This helps a lot tbh ) How often would you say you saw them? Is it possible to keep them out of my room?

Hey, I lived in Halifax 2020-2021 and heard a lot about silverfish, but I never saw any myself! I think all the colleges have similar issues with stuff like that, but some just gain worse reputations than others. I personally really enjoyed living in Halifax as it’s a lot quieter than the other colleges, and the shop and laundrette are so close.
