ODP to a Surgical Care practitioner

Hi, this might be a silly question but here it is:
I am currently failing a level biology so I am moving to applied science. I have always wanted to work within surgery so I am thinking of becoming and Operating Department Practitioner and then becoming a surgical care practitioner. So my question is can use my ODP degree to apply for a Surgical Care practitioner course in uni?

According to the Association of Surgical Care Practitioners website, the answer is 'yes':

Hi! I’m the Head of Programme for Operating Department Practice at York St John University, and yes you can, we have lots of ODPs that follow this route, including two good friends of mine that work in Orthopaedics and Trauma! You’ll need some experience in scrub in the relevant speciality, and then you’ll need to look on nhs jobs for an SCP vacancy for a trainee post 😊
