Gcse eng lit!!

Hi,
I'm y10 and my school makes us do our Eng Lit gcse. I've definitely failed. I spoke to my teacher at the end of the school day and she said that I cannot resit it in y11. I know I will do much better then if I resit it. What could I try to do to allow them so I can resit it? I can't understand why they won't let me.

One can always resit a gcse if they fail a subject, and I suggest you get in contact with the school about retaking the subject next year if you got a bad grade. If they don’t allow you to resit it, however, I recommend that you sign up to the exam on your own privately rather than have it being funded by the school itself. It would not cost much at all and you will be able to save your grade.

hey, im also in yr 10 and i just did lit, idk abt ur skl, but my skl lets u resit it but they just wont give u lessons in yr 11, and the teachers try to put u off retaking it. maybe speak to the exam office in ur skl. if u got anything less than a 6, they should let u resit. if u got more than a 6 it might be harder to convince them.

I'm not even on the pass level 😢. I really hope they let me resit. I've just been overwhelmed by it.

if u get a grade 4 or less i think they HAVE to let u resit - its unfair otherwise
