biology at edinburgh

Hi, I'm currently looking to do a biology degree and was looking at Edinburgh to do it but it seems as if all the degrees require chemistry, does anyone know any way around this? would an AS level be suitable or have I missed a bio degree that does not require chemistry. I'm currently doing bio, maths and fashion/textiles

If a university requires Chemistry and you dont have it then you will be rejected. Check with Edinburgh only they will know for definite but that will usually be the case. Your other option is to look elsewhere for universities not requiring Chemistry for Biology courses.

Whilst Biological Sciences, Biomed and Biochem usually require both Biology and Chemistry, straight 'Biology' usually doesn't.

Look around at other Unis - as examples :
Biology BSc (Hons) (bath.ac.uk) - requires Biology and another science or maths related subject (includes Economics and Geography etc)
Biology (BSc) - Undergraduate, University of York - requires Biology or Human Biology and a second science.
Biology, BSc (Hons) - Swansea University - requires just Biology or Human Biology.

Lots of top unis dont require Chemistry to study biological sciences. They state two science subjects with Biology a must and a typical choice of Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Geology etc

Lancaster
