Should i pick PE or RE

I don't whether to pick GSCE PE or re
For PE I do two sports that i can do for the practical element. I enjoy both sport , yet don’t know if RE is better career wise ( i want to be a doctor , lawyer or a real estate development )
Thanks bye

Take whichever you enjoy. If you don’t have a practical subject in your options I would honestly recommend PE. Employers down the line will not look too hard at your GCSEs, and RS will not help you get into medicine. For law, I have a relative who works in law at a big firm and once asked their HR about subjects, and honestly it doesn’t matter to them as long as you do a law conversion or law degree. So don’t feel pressured to take essay subjects if this is the route you want to take. Hope this helps!

Neither will make a difference to your career choice, so pick the one you will enjoy most and do well in.

PE will have elements of human anatomy but not necessary for Medicine, which requires A level Chemistry, Law you can study any subject at degree and do a conversion and property developer, you need a trade or have money.

Choose what you think in the end, i recommend RS as for me it’s an easier topic that doesn’t have theory like PE. Although with PE it is a harder more theory based topic and ability in sport, they also look at anatomy which may be helpful if you are looking to be a doctor. RS isn’t a particular subject you need but is quite easy it depends what you like and what you actually want to study, if your interested in religion take RS but if your thinking more about the further education PE is a good subject to take. However a lot of colleges or universities only look for pass grades in all your subjects, not necessarily the subjects you take. For universities it’s mostly what you do in college that counts, i wouldnt worry too much about your future plans you can still change what path you want to go down in a job route once you go onto further education. Hope this helps

Hi,

GCSE's rarely matter later when applying to university as it is all based on A levels etc (bar passing English and Maths). Of course, this does depend on the institution so worth checking. However, in relation to RE or PE I cannot see that it will matter which you choose. Therefore, I would recommend doing the one you enjoy the most as this will firstly be the best in terms of your own enjoyment but, secondly, will likely result in a higher grade because you enjoy the work.

I hope this helps and good luck!

PE can help towards getting certain kinds of jobs too. You should prioritize what you want above all else. If RE doesn't give you the enjoyment PE does then don't take it. I assume you're picking GCSEs, but when you get to college if you decide to go, you'll have many other great options that can widely enhance your career prospects like Sociology and Psychology.
