ucas firm and insurance

hello!! i submitted bristol as my firm for aaa and birmingham for my insurance for aab, but my current a levels are going worse than i could have ever imagined and i don’t think there’s any hope of me getting into bristol. brum offered me abb if i chose them for my insurance.

i dont think it’s possible, but is there any way to switch it at this stage? or anything i could do? i’m terrified that my grades will be abysmal and that i will not get into either choice on results day.

If you mean 'switch your Firm and Insurance so that Brum is your new Firm' then you need to phone UCAS tomorrow.
Sometimes this is possible - UCAS will guide you through the process.
As above, if it's been more than 14 days you can ask UCAS about swapping your choices.

The only thing I would say is that either Bristol or Birmingham may have leeway on results day, so don't rush into swaps due to last minute nerves about your grades. Brum will more than likely be in clearing if they are offering grade reductions now.
Don’t stress about this now all you can do is try your hardest. Wait for the day and if not, you’ll get into Birmingham as your insurance. Worst comes to worst, you can go through clearing to see if these unis have any spots and would accept you or try somewhere completely new. You won’t be limited don’t worry 🙂
