Motivation to study

Hey,

Gonna keep it brief. The predicament I'm in right now is that I've just finished my mock exams for predicted A-Level Grades, I'm aiming for high grades so I can get into medical courses but I keep feeling like I underachieve (don't work to the best of my ability) because although I make resources, I barely use them, homework is always done a day before and extensions are never covered, all-nighters often relied on etc. Just all these little things that add up to quite a massive mess when you realise how much time I end up wasting because I can't motivate myself.

So, does anyone have anything remotely useful to try and boost my motivation skills? I really need it, considering that when discussing with my teachers, all of them think I can get As but I'm not putting enough work in to prove this.

I have never related to a post more haha. I use a couple of things that help:

Flora, the app, brings out my competitive side when trying to beat friends on hours of revision
Get up early, finish early. I get up 5:30-6ish, get to college really early and do work before anyone is even there. Just keep going with lessons or revision until about 5-6ish and then you're DONE for the day.
Try not to go on your phone in between breaks, it's just addictive. The early thing helps with this as well.
Stop making super specific plans: I try and have a day of exam questions/papers for each subject, then the next day some notes or more questions on a couple of the topics I came across that I struggled with.
Change it up, if you're sick of writing, watch a video on something. More often then not you'll find yourself wanting to make notes on something anyway because it suddenly makes sense!

Hope that helps a bit, if you really don't wanna do anything, try just getting in your revision space first e.g. desk, listen to some music to help you get started then turn it off when you're finding you need to concentrate.

Thanks so much I’ll try all your tips. I wake up super early anyway but I never try and get to school early I’ll try that now!
