Structure is so important!
•
Every question A you need the definition and a second sentence either to explain this a bit further or use an example. If you have time make a quizlet of key terms
•
Question B just jot down five facts, don't need long sentences
•
Timing wise you want a minute per mark, but I think you can do question a and b in 4 mins per section if you know the facts and write them immediately, effectively saving you 8 mins for the other questions
•
For question c you need to explain every sentence, hardest one imo. Always use a connective like and so, consequently, because of this, therefore, for example. These are like buzzwords in the middle of the sentence. If you struggle for points (8 for 8 marks) try and split one point into two halves of the sentence.
•
Question d is your essay. You need 4 points for and 4 points against roughly (unless it's a very one sided argument but try and equal it). If it's for one of the last two sections you need a variety of views from both Christianity and Judaism, and sometims atheists too. Put a small conlusion with your opinion and why. I did like max two sentences.
•
I'd recommend doing as much as you can on c then moving on to your essays, at the end try and waffle more to fill your 8 markers but they are hard to get marks for!
•
When revising make sure you know at least 5 points ish for each topic, then you're covered for question b, can do at least half of c and then waffle more if need be for c or d
•
Think what are the most common points? For example you're unsure on how to answer a question - Christianity believes in love, forgiveness, free will - golden trio there which can apply to a lot of questions (if you're stuck think if any of these could apply to the scenario)
•
Some of units 3 and 4 you can do educated guesses for
•
If you don't know it stil; try and waffle something that makes sense or is sort of related, never know you might get the mark
•
Familiarise yourself with welsh with reading (doesn't seem to be many past papers which is annoying, if you want to challange yourslef try reading an extract from a first langauage paper and seeing if you can grasp the concepts)
•
Learn the structures for different writing tasks - like letter what side is the address, use 'annwyl' etc. Getting the form right will help
•
There are barely any past papers sadly, but practice those
•
If you want to 'test translate' something just send it to me and I'll let you know if it looks right
