My GYG Journey 🌷 GCSE Blog

Hi! Im currently a Year 11, in the middle of GCSEs and I just thought I'd make this blog to give me more motivation.
I'm going to attempt to update this daily, no matter how little I do. I'm hoping I'll find this helpful and use it when I go into y12.
The subjects Im currently studying are:

English Literature - AQA (It's over! :smile: )

•

English Language - Eduqas (Who even does this exam board? :mad: )

•

Maths - AQA Higher

•

Combined Science - AQA Higher

•

Food Preparation and Nutrition - AQA

My final exam is on the 19th of June :mad:

Once my exams finish I'll update this thread on my predictions, and then update on results day :biggrin:

A little bit about me:
I've struggled with school over the past 5 years, lots of anxiety and little support, so my grades aren't too great but I'm hoping to get enough to go to college.

I'm planning on doing Biology, Chemistry and Sociology in College and doing dietetics in University.

I'm autistic and have an interest in sea creatures (especially jellyfish), anime, nintendo and anything sanrio

My favourite artists are Laufey, Mitski, Chappell Roan and Seventeen. What are yours?

Hey I'm going to follow along your journey and good luck for your upcoming exams! <3
I am on the WJEC exam board (equdas is the English version) so I will be doing the same English language exams as you!
My favourite musicians are Tyler the creator, Taylor swift, the neighbourhood and some others. And a fun fact about me is i crochet amigurumi in my spare time - i am currently working on an axolotl

Watched Primrose Kittens GCSE Physics Grade 9 Video (Skipped any triple topics)

2.

Did all of my Physics Paper 1 Flashcards (100) (I use a whiteboard to write down my answers)

3.

Past Paper 2020 - 29/70 (one of my best marks!) :biggrin:

They're going okay, thanks for asking!
Biology and Chemistry i think, and hope, went well. English Lit not so much, I'll be lucky to pass (but I expected that)
My maths was okay hopefully it's enough to bag a 6 :smile:

I hate Physics with a passion, it's my absolute worst science :mad:

. The paper wasn't too bad, but the unit conversions and having to work out which equations to use on the 5/6 markers got me :frown:

It went okay, I think I messed up the reading section a bit :frown:

. The writing section was okay, luckily I had a story we did in class that fit the question, I chose 'Start your story with 'It was my first day at this school..''.
