Ba in Business or Bsc in psychology

I am struggling to decide whether to study Ba in business or a Bsc in psychology. I have an interest for psychology but the problem is that I’ve heard the employability isn’t great. On the other hand, I have no knowledge of business but the employability for that is meant to be outstanding. I really don’t know what to pursue, i want whatever it is to provide the best result for my future. Which would be the better option? Also I’m not the best at maths, I only got a C in GCSE. Will this hinder my ability to do good in a business degree if i do one? Thanks for the feedback!

Do you have a career in mind for when you graudate? I did a Psychology degree and ended up working in marketing, others went into sports therapy and some into Psychology, you really do have a broad range of options to choose from, you do not need to stick to Psych 🙂

Hi there, I don’t have a career in mind, possibly psychotherapy but i will need to do a masters as well which may be too intense for me to handle😅. I just feel as if business may open up a lot more opportunities but im really stuck between that and psychology.

Personally unless you're really passionate about it you shouldn't go into psychotherapy/therapy! It's an intense job, that needs post grad training and the pay isn't very good as well, so unless you are extremely interested in the job there aren't too many incentives for it, I'm not saying DONT go into it, but I'd heavily recommend only going into it if you want a specific Psychology job. Too many people choose to go into it on a whim before realising it's not what they want/what the thought

Ok thanks for that, i will keep that in mind. Ive just looked up the salaries and they’re very mid. What about Ba degree in Business ?

Honestly I know less about business than Psychology, but from what I do know it's a more versatile degree in terms of job prospects

You can always look into MSc Psychology conversion courses which means you don't need to do it as a degree and you have a backup route. Here is a link to our course as an example - Psychology - Canterbury Christ Church University

You will be studying something for three or more years so you need to enjoy the subject area you are studying.
