England's playing is really sloppy...Denmark deserved to win the last game. Plus I'm not sure whether its Southgate's fault, or its just the fact that the team aren't really co-ordinating with each other in the matches. I'm rooting for France, possibly Spain, considering France vs Netherlands stood at 0-0.

I feel it: two matches, two disappointing performances by the French team so far, but in a way it reminds me of WC 2018. France underperformed in group stage too at that time, but got stronger when it mattered in K.O. matches - and was the winner at the end. This EURO might be similar.

I don’t know about France, they aren’t cooking that well in my opinion.

France have the ability to turn things around easily though. They are a team and once they start, they will be hard to stop. England are a bunch of individuals, not a team. They also have a rubbish manager who can't implement a style of football and struggles against the big teams whilst struggling even more against the smaller teams

You might have a fair point but I don’t know if I want to be so harsh on England just yet.
Equalizer in the last minute! Füllkrug's header saved the day. The weakest match of the German team so far. The referee was a pain in my ass!
Feel like Germany would have been in big trouble going forward had they not got the late equaliser I feel like as a team and with public opinion they're on shaky foundations.

Teams like the Switzerland aren't good for German team. If players like the Swiss play agressive pressure and defend deeply, the German team is in big trouble to play forward. It would be the same against Austria and England.

Scotland lost the game. Gutted for them.

Fullkrug is a fine player, very under the radar his entire career. But late bloomer I guess.

Southgate looking way out of his depth now.

I am harsh on them even when they are doing good. You never know what performance you will get from them, and when you look at their team on paper, they have a world class squad, but they can't win anything. Add their fanbase as well and you almost want them to fail.

The Sco vs Hun game was mad...

The tackle on Varga in the Hungary broke several bones in his face

Scotland were robbed of a penalty which would have allowed them to qualify

The last 15 mins was a basketball match

Hungary hit the post in the last 5 mins

2 mins later, they score the winner

I don't get why he is not in the line-up for Havertz. Füllkrug is a true striker and better at headers by far and not a winger like Havertz.

Havertz can play as a sort of false 9, which gets more out of the wingers and also for more creativity - a bit like firmino salah mane back in the days. Fullkrug is more of a traditional striker that wants the ball given into him in dangerous positions rather than collecting the ball deeper and creating more chances.

Indeed, good point. Nonetheless Füllkrug is better at scoring. And that is the thing that matters the most.

I think with the current Germany team, it would make sense to play Fullkrug over Havertz because they don't really have traditional wingers, instead they have Musiala and Wirtz which are more midfielder than wingers. But then if Germany want to play Man City style football with no strikers, but very creative midfielders, then Havertz may make sense

Havertz is one of the most unusual players in world football. He seems to require very specific coaching and to form very close relationships with his midfielders/wingers to score regularly. At the start of this season, Arsenal fans were extrememly frustrated with him and his lack of goals but towards the end of the season he seemed to click and scored fairly regularly. But therefore, I dont see him as a tournament player when you need to hit the ground running, he will take too long to learn the details of his team mates.
Fullkrug is fairly old fashioned guy, just a typical striker with nothing fancy about his game. But he scores goals! You can not fault his record for Germany, 13 goals in 19 games is up there with any striker in the game. I would however be cautious about starting him in big games as I can imagine him struggling against top defenders. Germany are outsiders this tournament and like it or not, Havertz might be worth the wait. When he is good, he is very very good.

England is one of the most boring and harmless teams at this EURO, say no more. Not worth to support.

Their third match is over now. Don't ask me how it ends up. I was fed up after an hour.
