Student loan

Hello to everyone, hope you are fine.
I am here in the UK since June 2023 now I am having GCSE exam intend to study Uni here in the UK but I am not the resident of UK I am here on spouse visa. Will I get student loan for the university if I can how? If I can’t get it why?

I am from Afghanistan but my wife is UK resident

Hi Muzammil Mangal,

You usually wouldn't be eligible for funding if you are a Rest of the World national in the UK on a spouse visa. If your wife is a UK national you may be eligible for funding though. If you have been resident in the UK and Islands for 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year of the course and have a valid status in the UK you may be eligible for fee only funding.
