are my old results still valid for uni apps even if i've given retakes?

okay this is a messy situation to explain so bear with me - i originally gave my gcses back in the 2022 may/june session, but i wasn't happy with my results. i got B's in physics and chem and a C in math. so i decided to give my retakes in the 2023 may/june session. unfortunately, i got 3 C's. during this time i moved to another country and it was just a very tough year for me because of certain issues at home so that took a toll on my mental health. also i gave my retakes as a private candidate in country y, and i originally gave my gcses in country x. i hope that makes sense.
anyways, now i heard from a friend that all the unis i apply to with my 2022 result won't accept it cus they'll find out i've given my retakes, so my previous result is invalid. is this true? im so worried about this. im currently doing composite as levels. pls guide me on what i can do cus i cant afford a private counsellor and my school's counsellor's an absolute ass so id rather not go to her. any sort of response would be greatly appreciated!!

No, you get to keep your previous grade if that was higher, as long as you got the grade the first time around, they can't take that away from you, hope this helps x

You MUST list all your GCSE results - no exceptions.

It doesnt matter when you took them.
You must list them all. Thats what 'no exceptions' means.
As above, you must list everything along with the relevant dates. Don’t fake a gap year to hide the retakes, it’s grounds to be excluded from the entire application cycle.

As above - leaving results out makes yours a fraudulent application and therefore liable to cancelation.
And, Unis are fed exam board data by UCAS to match their applications, so they will find out.

No, if your prior mark was higher, you are entitled to keep it. They cannot take away from you the grade you received the first time around. I hope this clarifies. what you think about this
