We were at the Bath open day yesterday and attended the Maths admission session with one of their lecturers/admissions tutors.

Grades requirements are now A*A*A.

Further Maths required (preferably full Alevel). This is the same as before but most of the additional elements that used result in a reduced offer are no longer taken into account ie taking 4 alevels or doing well in one of the extra admissions tests.

He was very clear they no longer care about those things.

V tough. Particularly for those kids whose schools will only let them do further maths as a 4th alevel. This is the case at my daughter’s school. So she has to do 4.

She really liked it but that’s a tough offer. Can’t see anyone picking them as an insurance choice after Oxford/Cambridge anymore but maybe that's their strategy

Such a sad state of affairs when Humanities lead schools insist on FM being a 4th A-level. Just puts more pressure on people sadly.

There are plenty of other Universities - Bath is not exactly a golden ticket.
