Can I do a level 3 engineering apprenticeship instead of A level maths

I havent Done A level Maths but still want to do a degree apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (all the ones ive seen require it). Can I do a lower level apprenticeship in mechanical engineering which is equivalent to A levels to circumvent this requirement? I assume if I can prove Ive already had experience then I wont require A levels maths to do a higher level apprenticeship (for context im about to sit my A levels in a week)
