The Student Room Group

Canterbury Student Manor

Hi everyone! I have a studio booked for Canterbury Student Manor and plan to move in, in September. I was wondering if anyone else was moving in there who I could talk to? I’m a bit anxious and would like someone to be a friend for when I move in. I’m going into my second year and spent my first year at Riverside, however that’s going up a lot in price so I decided to move to the student manor. Thank you in advance! Izzi
Hey! I think once you move in they will have some social events. If you was in a flat I think you can ask for your details to be shared with those in the flat but otherwise all we would suggest is trying to look out for any Facebook groups and depending what Uni you are at, see if the SU can help 🙂

Hi  I’m with UCA - a friend of mine who is currently staying in a studio for our first year gave me some advice on greeting my neighbours and stuff like that
Sounds good! It can be hard in a studio (I lived in one as well when at uni in Canterbury!) so just try and make the most of the socials and say hey to everyone! 🙂

Canterbury is small city , rent is too expensive and getting student jobs are difficult. Its better for international students stay in London or universities near to ware houses to get jobs. Canterbury not a place or near by places for jobs

I’ve lived in Canterbury for a year previously hence why I’ve gotten a place in CRM as it was cheaper. I’m not from London or international
