Hey I am in yr 13 studying english lit and I would say that it is interesting! If you are good at English now, then you are likely to continue to do well at A-Level. There is more work and you have to learn how to write in a more sophisticated way but I would say that if you enjoy English, you'll be fine

Heya I'm a Year 13 studying Psychology and I would also say that it is a very interesting course to get involved in, often because not a lot of schools do it for GCSE! It is very content heavy but as long as you revise consistently, you should be fine )!

for epq, id definitely say pick something you're interested in - if you really want a headstart you can start thinking about it during your y11 summer. It can be on anything but it needs to have an argument that you can either agree/disagree with which makes for a very interesting piece of work. it is very good fun if you pick your topic wisely but it is *a lot* of work, but it's great practice for uni and for the coursework you'll probably have to do for english and geog. good luck !!! hope all goes well

Heya! I take english lit and psych, I didn't do psych at gcse but honestly it's no harder than gcse science, content is def enjoyable (I love it so much I'm hopefully doing it at uni!), best thing is it's so applicable to everyday life, you can learn so much about people and yourself through it, worst thing is probably the amount of content but honestly you'll get loads of content with any alevel subject! English lit is a bit of a jump from gcse, the style of essay writing is more technical and they are looking for more things in your answer, but in terms of content it's so enjoyable, I feel like I can pick out little nuances in texts that I wasn't able to before and that's made reading so much more enjoyable for me! Best thing is probably the debates you can have and the themes you can get for questions, they're so easy to talk about, worst thing is probably trying to hit all of the assessment objectives to a good standard, but you'll get the hang of it eventually! I went from getting Cs in year 12 to getting a high A in my last mock so you do get the hang of it in the end 🙂 would def recommend both, hope this has helped!
