Melting slowly A level

Since my predicted grades (which I thought was okay) 3 A and 1 C. Things are going bad. I get nervous , I can’t sleep , my dog died I feel like I don’t know who I am anymore . I don’t have control of my studies anymore. Sorry about my whining🙄 my question is - would I get any offer if go from AAA ( forget the C) to BCC.
What would be my best action ? Would my university of choose give me an alternative offer ?? Thank you

Nobody can answer this but the university. However a university asking AAA isnt likely to drop more than 2 grades if at all is AAC or ABB at best. If your grades are lower than this you would probably end up looking at other universities through clearing

Hi thank you for your fast reply. Is this your personal opinion or you have experience with the process ?

This is standard and happens every year. There will be people who work in admissions on here who will confirm this. Universities ask for AAA because they know their applicants will get good grades and they dont need to go down much. Some accept slightly dropped grades. Some dont but that much of a drop isnt going to happen. It might be harsh but that is the reality. The other question you need to ask yourself is why you took 4 A levels. The general advice is only to do 3 to allow you to concentrate on achieving 3 very good grades rather than spreading your time over 4. This is constantly advised by knowledgeable advisers on here but unfortunately that advice continues to be ignored. AAA will always be considered better by universities than BBBB. @McGinger @Admit-One will you please confirm this.

It makes total sense 👍 thank you .
Yes, just to agree with the above that space-permitting, it's common to accept students one or maybe 2 grades below at a push. Not everywhere and not every year, but dependent on other offer holders results, unis would rather accept some 'near miss' offer holders than open up to random people in clearing.

Acceptance beyond 1-2 grades lower is unlikely, although you could receive an alternative course offer for a foundation year or somesuch.

All you can do is your best for remaining exams, then see what your Firm and Insurance decide to do. Then you can think about clearing or a gap year and retaking if needs be - but don't catastrophise about the worst now, just get your head down and focus on the things you can control.
