Can i get into dentistry?

Im currently in year 12 and im hoping to apply for dentistry but im not sure if i can get in with my grades and extracurriculars

My GCSE grades are:

8-Geography
8-Maths
8-Biology
8-Chemistry
8-Physics
7-Spanish
7-English language
7-English literature
6-Computer science

and my predicted for A levels is AAA (maths, bio, chem)
I was also wondering if i could get in i have done work experience for a week in a hospital and volunteered for a few weeks at a school. What other extra things should i do?

Would i have to do very good in the UCAT to have a chance?
If anyone has any advice i would appreciate it.

Yes, you deffo have a chance! Have you got work experience in a dental practice? If not, I would recommend trying to shadow a dentist for a few days as I had a 1 paragraph dedicated to my work experience at a dental practice. I also reflected a lot on my dental work experience in my interviews.
UCAT is extremely important to be a competitive applicant. I would recommend you start preparing now! I know how hard the UCAT is and how draining it can be preparing for it but don't give up! Try your best to get a high UCAT as that will give you an advantage!

Good Luck! x

Thank you! I was very worried that I needed A*AA and at least 2 weeks of work experience which I was not able to find I’m currently searching for a place at a dental clinic. I have been preparing for ucas for 2 weeks now and will continue thank you for the advice! Would I just go around emailing my dental clinics as I don’t see any local dental clinics advertising work experience should I go about emailing the receptionist? Thanks again.
