what should i choose for my alevels?

i want to do a uni degree on acting and/or musical theatre
what i straight away wanted to do was media art and drama, but my friend said english lit alevel is more respected and people will favor you if you have it.
ART
pros - i love art, predicted a 6 in art, i will have alot of time to do coursework etc cause my other options are easier, i ADORE my teacher and he really wants me to do alevel art
cons - uniform full of paint (yes this is a really big turn off for me) i might procrastinate, 10 hour exam, i did a 15 hour exam in year 11 and it made me sleep for 3 days straight i was so tired.
ENGLISH
pros - got a 9 in paper on english lit (jekyll/macbeth) i like english, my teacher says i have good ideas and i should do english lit i am predicted 6s but i will probably get higher, more respected alevel, drama schools love english lit
cons - i have to do an as level in year 12 i think, i hate memorizing quotes, but i usually memorize enough for an exam, idk what teacher i will get and one of the alevel english teachers hate me and i might get her, just generally harder and longer + coursework i will have to focus alot on it
please help im so stumped and i actually have no idea which to pick
im defo picking drama and media though......

Degrees in acting and musical theatre don't require specific subjects. Having said that, you don't need degrees in acting or musical theatre in order to go into acting or musical theatre,

It's up to you which of the subjects you want to do. It's immaterial which of the subjects you do in terms of application for the above subjects.
It's true that English Literature is more respected, especially for top end unis or competitive courses. For one, it's more academic than art.

Personally, I wouldn't do a degree in either subjects though.
