One of the few sensible things that has been said during this election.
The Labour cabinet are starting to form as expected. It's funny how modest people like Rachel Reeves and Angela Rayner were after the exit poll was released, acting as if they wouldn't be invited into government. 😂

It’s back up but the most recent post is Sunak being appointed PM in 2022.
Some online discussions have suggested, or perhaps discovered, that Reform's candidate Mark Matlock may have been a dummy candidate using an AI-generated (or heavily airbrushed) profile picture.

He didn't turn up to the count and there seems to be no pictures of him anywhere on national or local news. People have called him out on Twitter and he has now started to throw a tantrum, retweeting some pretty far-right grifter nonsense.

It's triggered a wider search for similar Reform candidates who have gained thousands of votes without any evidence of them existing. Could this be the start of a huge scandal for Reform? This may be law breaking if they've set up candidates in seats without a person behind them (least not a 'real' person).

He self-diagnosed himself with pneumonia on the evening of the count and was apparently turned away from a hospital a 130 miles away from his constituency. Perfectly believable.

I'd heard something similar about another Reform candidate - never canvassed and did not show to the count. No online presence at all.

Apparantly it's permissable to enter a paper candidate - a real person but one who is on the ballot only, but does not campaign and there is no expectation that they will win or even get their deposit back.

Does not explain why this one had a profile pic though, real or faked.

Also begs the question who bothered to bankroll these candidates at £500 a time just to raise Reform's profile a bit.

Apparently people have linked him to somewhere in Guernsey...? Must have been a bit of a journey to get to that hospital. 😆

I hope this is properly investigated. It is extremely dodgy to flood every seat with a dummy candidate just to shore up votes. There are some constituencies where these candidates may have tipped the balance between a Labour or Conservative victory, all over someone who may not 'exist'.

****ing hilarious, in any case. 😂
