You can but there's no guarguarantee that course would be available in clearing, and so is risky.

to stay on a waitlist :/ and yeah idk if its worth the risk since the course im looking at normally only has had around 10 or so clearing students

You could just defer your application if it’s not for this year, if that’s what you’re after?

to stay on a medicine waitlist; im pretty sure the conditions of it are that i cant accept any offer. medicine or not

im on a gap year and if the waitlist doesnt work which is looking quite unlikely, im just gonna go for another course id like🫡 which i was hoping to get through clearing again
Going back to the original Q, yes, you can apply via clearing to a course you previous applied to+declined, if it is available.
