Request for bsc computer science first year syllabus for university of Essex

Please I am about to start uni at Essex and I need 1st year syllabus and if possible past questions and list of what will be covered in the first. I need it to be able to prepare in advance. If any one can be kind enough to help. (Anyone from other universities studying computer science can also post a copy of their syllabus and past questions please) thanks a lot for the help.

Hi @Joyce Cruz

You can find a lot of information under the course structure tab on the webpage for BSc Computer Science and viewing the module Directory link. For ease I'll link them below.

Look at the module learning outcomes for each one, and that will explain what is covered and usually centres around questions and assignments you will get through the year. In your first week of each module, they will go over the handbook that will give you information about deadlines, course structure, etc. On each module directory, there is an academic contact so if you're desperate for more information, you can email them directly.

You'll find a reading list when you get all set up with your Moodle logins and course enrolment, but I'd advise to just do a bit of research yourself if you're worried, so you can start to understand the core concepts you will be taught

Your Core modules for the first year are as follows:

FY: Full Year (Taught through the whole year)

AU: Autumn Term (Taught October-Christmas)

SP: Spring Term (Taught January-Easter)

Hope that helps put your mind at ease before starting your first year with us here at Essex!

Best wishes
