What a levels should I choose for law?

Hello, I'm in year 11 rn doing my exams. I had to choose my a level options, I thought I wanted to do medicine so most of my options are related to that. But now I don't want to do medicine anymore and want to do law instead. I need to change my a level subjects for subjects relating to law but I don't know what to choose. I mostly see everyone doing history in order to study law but I didn't do it for GCSEs and don't know if it will be harder to learn as I basically know nothing about history. Help would be much appreciated as I truly don't know what subjects to choose for law.
You can take any subjects at A level for law. Do you have the option to take A level law? That would be a good idea if you want to study it as a degree. It’s a good way to get a basic level of knowledge in some legal topics.
Other than that you just need subjects you think you will get the best grades in. Ideally one of those would be an essay subject so that you can build your essay writing skills but if you don’t like essay subjects at A level you can build your skills in other ways (EPQ, essay writing competitions etc).

Hi, although you didn’t do history at GCSE many colleges will let you still do it at A-level. Also the way to write essays and the topics at A-level are different to GCSE so as long as you’re interested in the subject and willing to work hard, you won’t be at a disadvantage for long! It would also be really useful to do A-level English literature!
