university 🤔

would you rather choose to study at a university ranked in the 'top 10 universities worldwide' knowing your mental health would severely decline and you wouldn't enjoy it especially due to the fact you will be living at home, do not enjoy the modules they offer that much and dislike the institution

or choose to study at a 'lower ranked' but still great russel group university that you know you would be happy at due to the independence and freedom you'd have, you actually enjoy the module the course offers and you like the university

would you risk your mental health just to attend a university with a better reputation?

this is my situation and i have already my decision but i was just wondering what other people would do in this situation?
Employers will be employing YOU not your certificate. They’ll be looking at your degree classification and your experiences and skills.

If you choose a university and degree where you know you’ll be unhappy then there’s a high chance you’ll struggle to do well in your degree (so likely to get a lower degree classification or even end up failing or dropping out) and it’s much less likely that you’ll have the enthusiasm and energy to take advantage of all the opportunities outside your studies to build your skills and experience.

Choose the university and course where you think that YOU will thrive and be able to achieve your full potential.
