0 marks on an MCQ paper???

I just received my provisional marks for one of my modules at uni, one of the exam components was an MCQ. I attended the exam and I revised quite a bit, but then I received my results the other day and it said 0%.

I asked the admin and the lecturers to check over this mark, they haven’t really given it a sense of urgency and just asked if I attended the exam. I know I did decent on that paper, literally some of the MCQs that came up were practice questions given to us before so I know I would have got a couple of marks at least.

Any idea how to fix this?? Should I go through the academic appeal process at my uni rather than asking lectures and admin staff to check over?

You should certainly appeal if this result is made official - on the grounds that assessment procedures may not have been followed correctly.
However, this is something that can be checked before everything goes though to the exam board. I'm at a loss as to what to suggest as you have done the right things - contact admin & module staff.
When did you ask them to check it over?
What date is the exam board?

I asked them on Wednesday, which is the day they released the results and the exam board dates are in mid June.

I confirmed to them that I attended the exam, they said they’ll get back to me next week to check over things.

Do you think they might have lost my answer paper? The invigilators this year were quite sloppy, half of them didn’t know what they were doing and didnt look like they wanted to be there at all so maybe they lost it? If that is the case, then what will they do about my mark because resitting that paper in summer is gonna ruin all my plans…

You're overthinking this.
You should wait now till they look for your paper. Give them till the end of next week. If by Friday unchtime you have heard nothing, make contact again and ask for an update.
There is enough time to sort this before the exam board.
If you are not happy with the outcome of their enquiries before the exam board, indicate to them that you will be appealing.
