How did everyone find A Level Eduqas physics paper 1?

How did you find the Eduqas physics component one paper today for anyone who sat it? Personally I definitely think I passed (assuming I do roughly the same in the other components) but it could be anywhere between a B and an E for me I think.

The paper was tougher than most other eduqas papers 1's but there was nothing really hard: there was no big data handling question (Q1 doesn't count) and the six mark QER was relatively easy. There two harder questions were both on electromagnetism (which isnt on the paper 3 spec), the electron moving through the B-field was fine if you had revised magnetism and you had to spot that an Electic guitar worked via EM-induction and have known that copper isnt ferro-magnetic. I also recon that the definition of a mole and the cenrtipetal forces on the car and electron threw a lot of people off.

Yeah I was unsure for the mole one (I just put "amount of a substance" but I feel like more might have been needed) and I wasn't sure what the force on the electron was called

What did you get for the radius of the electron?

I did last years paper one, and to be honest i thought this years was easier (however i got a C last year, and I’m predicted an A now, and i actually understand all of the concepts now). Nothing was insanely hard, only bits i found tricky/didn’t get was a few marks in the thermal section (the question with the graph and finding which mass it was, i just found the gradient and got stuck) and yeh the em induction question in the comprehension, i butchered that one to be honest. Referred to B is proportional to I using the solenoid equation and some other waffle but nothing about induction to be honest (I can’t remember i was running out of time). Yeh i said copper isn’t magnetic, also it oxidises easily etc. 6 marker was freebie if you revised it. No hard moments questions as well which was weird.

Just an electro magnetic force isn’t it?

Well I hope so because that's what I wrote, but I thought it might be something more specific. Maybe I was overthinking it tho

What grade are you aiming for / predicted? It’s only one mark to be honest, probably wont be the end of the world, unless your aiming for A*, but even then it doesn’t matter too much

What was the 6 marker QER I can’t remember
using a simple pendulum to find gravity, explain method and calculations etc.

Basically jus the time period equation for a pendulum (T=2pi sqrt(l/g))

Yeah you're right, it's not a big deal! I'm aiming for a B to get into my firm uni choice (and for my insurance I'd only need an E so I'm really not worried)
