Clearing reference help.

I’m a current year one student at UAL, I’ve always been stuck between my two interests of fashion and animals and now after completing my first year studying fashion, I want to drop the course and go back into the animal industry.
I did an Animal Management BTEC at college, then took a two year gap before going to uni. How can I obtain a relevant reference for a uni application? I’ve contacted my old college but they said all my tutors I previously had have moved on and left the college so I can’t obtain a character reference from them.

I feel I couldn’t get one from anyone at my current uni as it’s an unrelated course and industry to the one I’m applying to, so I’m really stuck here.

Your old college should still have a reference on file for you from your original ucas application.

I’ve asked them and they send a reference, but it’s not a written character reference by a person, just like proof of grades and that I attended and such. Is that what you mean? Other than that, they haven’t given me anything else
