i do gatsby and streetcar so it may differ to you but for gatsby, i think i know the text really well so that’s not really an issue but my commentary always sucks which is where my marks fall. right now all i’m doing is just writing commentaries all the time and trying to link things contextually and then obviously trying to link to the base text as much as i can. for streetcar, it’s just a matter of knowing your context, your speech acts and whatnot so i’m just going through linguistic features i’m still unsure on and identifying them throughout. i’d say streetcar is easier just because it’s small and easier to find interactions.

Hey anyone here do HMT?
For section C, I do the kite runner and Blakes songs of innocence and experience
Any predictions?
hey I do streetcar and gatsby. But I can't seem to remember all of the context for streetcar that we need to know (eg. plastic theatre, language/gender theories) can anyone make an extensive list? it would be so helpful.
I do streetcar and into the wild )
I do Kite Runner and Othello!! This is normally my stronger paper however I hope the questions are good !!

This won’t be all of the contexts but here are some of them (feel free to reply to add more):

•

Biographical context

•

Social context

•

Cultural context

•

Historical context

•

Theatrical context (production and reception)

•

Genre context (tragedy)

There are many more but these are a summarised list of the main things to focus on.
