2024 general election: Scottish National Party campaign

Welcome to the 2024 UK General Election on TSR taking place on 4th July

This is a thread for the campaign for the Scottish National Party who are the currently the largest party in Scotland and will be hoping to retain this after the general election. This is the place to discuss the SNP campaign.

The SNP have faced a lot of turmoil in recent months and have a new leader - John Swinney. TSR remember him as the man who announced the changes to exams in Scotland during the COVID -19 pandemic. He's taken over after a huge scandal around Nicola Sturgeon. The SNP are known for taking the attack right to the Tories, but they're facing a much stronger Labour party in Scotland now. We shall see how they fare.
