I am a British student, I’ve already done all my exams and I start my course very soon …. so I am preparing by asking questions here 🙌

hi! i’m going into third year in september - make sure to bring a bag with your uniform, lunch/snacks, a notepad to carry in your pocket while you’re working and 2/3 pens. make sure to ask questions if you’re not sure about something and make the most of spending time with your patients and building communication skills 🙂 everyone has their own ways of doing things (as i’m sure your supervisor will tell/show you) and you’ll eventually adapt your own way of doing them too. make sure to be open to any learning opportunities that you’re offered even if it’s just watching a procedure etc, and make sure to stand up for yourself if something feels unfair! look after yourself most of all, and reflect on your experiences to help you process them. take time to rest on your days off and make sure you have a good support network around you, it can get quite tiring but i believe in you! good luck 🙂
