Personal statement plagiarism?

I completed a work experience placement in February (medical) in which I experience something semi-traumatic (might be a stretch.. im not sure what to call it but it was a key turning point in my head that this was definitely the career i wanted to do) occur in front of me between two patients and a doctor, and I was thinking of incoporating it in my PS but I realised im not sure if it counts as my experience or not? I dont want to write about it and then it be disregarded or seen as using someone else's experience as 'bait'.

Does anyone know if I would be allowed to talk about someone elses medical experience (anonymously of course)in my PS if i was present when it occurred?

I would have thought that given it was "a key turning point in my head that this was definitely the career i wanted to do", then it's exactly what you should be writing about. Just make sure it's clear that it was something you observed rather than directly experienced.

Yes, you certainly can (and should!)
