law a level subjects

is it weird to be taking history, further maths, maths and physics if I am potentially taking law?

Since you are taking history and it is a popular essay based subject amongst law students, no it wouldn’t be weird. Most law students and prospective law applicants I know have taken at least 2 essay based subjects, but I definitely know a few who have taken one or no essay based subjects at all. There are no subject requirements for law.

As far as i am aware, there are no specific subjects required to do law at uni. They just require whatever grades you need (but just double check that on unis websites).
So yes those subjects should be fine. You have an essay subject in there which is always useful for something like law. And maths is always useful for stuff anyway.

Science and maths heads make good Law students - it's all to do with logic.
