Invigilator noticed me talking during exam,signaled to stop.Can she cancel my paper?

Faced some issues with apparatus during my physics practical o level exam so i asked the guy beside me whether he faced the same issue. The invigilator saw me talking to him and smiled at me and signaled me to not talk further. If the invigilator thought I was cheating, can she cancel my paper?”

My teacher told me if invigilators see someone cheat, they dont inform the candidates anything, simply takes their information (candidate number etc) and cancels the paper without the knowledge of the candidate.
Now if my invigilator thinks Im cheating (cheating as in thinking I was asking for answers from the guy), can she simply cancel my paper just like that? It is important to say that the invigilator was nice sweet and funny.
