A level law

What is AQA A level law like?

From someone who is currently in Y12 and does Law,Politics and English Literature with law being my favourite A Level. It’s great however there are a lot of cases and a lot of memorisation is needed also, if you don’t have a good memory then you will struggle a lot with A Level Law. If not then A Level law could even be your easiest subject. I do AQA Exam Board which has 3 papers. With one being 2 hours long 😭

I do AQA and it's definitely my favourite A-Level! Lots of cases, section numbers etc to memorise though, so it can sometimes feel like rote learning - my teachers have provided good flowcharts to help with this. Criminal law is definitely my favourite aspect, but it's all very interesting.

Same. How do you memorise the cases. The Acts and sections are pretty easy to memorise imo as with enough practice and verbalising it it makes it much easier to remember. Like theft is defined in S1(1) of the Theft Act 1968 and S6(1) defines intention to permanently deprive whilst S2(1) gives 3 situations where the defendant’s behaviour could be considered not dishonest. So on and so forth. It’s the cases I struggle with I just need to remember the case name and verdict that’s what my teacher says.
