Can you work at 15yrs 9mths with NI number?

My daughter's national insurance number has arrived. She isn't 16 until nearer the end of the summer. Does anyone know of any companies that might take her on now? Thanks!
In the UK, it is usually illegal for companies to hire individuals under the age of 16. Most employers will not hire workers until they reach the minimum school-leaving age of 16.

However, she might be able to acquire some light work experience. It is unlikely any retail chain will have opportunities for her, but local businesses that might need help on the weekend may consider her! Her school may also have a work experience program, so it's worth emailing them and seeing if they know of any opportunities—e.g. working a summer school or afternoon club.
