can I apply to both PPE and PPL?

For context, PPL is politics philosophy and law (with law replacing the econ in PPE) and i take lit, philosophy and maths.
I’m going to be part of the 2025 cohort and i’m very split between these two courses, they’re so similar but also niche so it’s hard to just stick with one.
Do u think i could tailor a personal statement to both ??
Also am i disadvantaged in PPE for not taking econ? just applied to a MOOC related to economics and hopefully going to do some more wider reading into it within the summer

if you meet the entry requirements your subjects are normally a non issue

you can tailor the personal statement to both if you want but it might not fly for ps heavy unis like lse

hmmm right i see thankyou! i’ll prob do some more research into which unis put more emphasis into ps but i’m not considering london unis too much except KCL

You can definitely tailor a personal statement for both, and most unis are mindful of the fact that u might apply to other courses anyway.

You don’t need economics for PPE. Its good if you have it ofc, but not essential like maths if you want to do BS
