KCL current student room swap (angel lane for CW)

Hi guys!

So basically, I am a current student, and I have a room in Angel Lane in hand through king's residence and would like to swap for a room in Canada Water.

Let me know if that's possible.

Hi! i personally haven't lived there yet but I am about to! I am gonna live there for my placement this summer. 😉
However, I think I can answer your questions as I been there a few times, whether visiting a friend who lived there or just visiting the area ))
Location-wise, it's REALLY close to the station and Westfield, which is a big PLUS!! Westfield and the station is just one street down and across the bridge. Westfield Stratford is basically I-WANT-IT-I-GOT-IT mall, and they have a variety shops and restaurants. I personally been there so many times too and I like the Thai restaurant there (I can give you the name if you want too)
Groceries wise, there's another mall just across the road with Lidl, Sainsbury and Boots. My friend finds it so convenient.
Safety wise, I would say better than central London... but still couldn't let the guard down in London in general. They do have a few of streetlights, which I think adds a bit of comfort? (or maybe not)
Then when it comes to food and restaurants, I'm sure u can find one near you and suitable to you as you just have a lot around you 😁
Back to angel lane alone, Unite students overall did quite well actually. However, bear in mind they have a few blocks in angel lane and its BIG and there are a lot of ppl here. They might not be able to fix problems ASAP as you think. My friend did complain once about this. Room and the common facilities are great too! I did enjoy coming there when I was a visitor.

I hope these answer your questions? Lmk if you need more guidance.

Hi! Do you know which rooms face the street vs the courtyard? Also do you know if we have to provide our own bathroom cleaning supplies and toilet paper, etc? Thank you!

Hi! Not too sure which rooms face the street as it is quite variable between blocks and even within the flat…I know how frustrating it is coz there’s no floor plan whatsoever 🫨 but u do need to bring your own cleaning supplies and toilet paper etc! if u first move in I do recommend to buy it when u arrive coz why bother to add extra weight and used up space of ur suitcase haha and there’s Sainsbury’s in the mall just opposite of the road!

My son is in 3rd year looking for a room in Angel Lane. If it would help to be released from your room, then get a place where you want my son could take your room on.

Well either way, I hope it works out for you.

Let me know if we could help each other 🤞

Thanks Sally,
