As far as I understand you should be paid for attending the academy but you should have been already told all of this information at the boots academy interview.

All new staff starting in boots the chemist usually are paid for there training session whether they are doing it at home or at the store ( you do majority of online training while at work as part of the on going training process) but kindly just ask your manager about that prior to starting so you know the answers for this.

Hey! I, thinking of applying for boots but I don’t know what to put for references as I’ve been out of work for a while- did they require references from you for the job?

Well done for considering applying for a job in boots and I'll assure you that you'll definitely love working with them.

When I applied for a job in boots I wasn't long turned 15 years old as that was the youngest age that they employed people at, I think 🤔 if I remember correctly I required permission from my school and parents.
I applied in the old fashioned days when you walked in and asked about jobs availability and you walked out with a paper copy of the application form and you took it along with you to the interview and at the end you got offered the job but unfortunately it all changed those days with everyone online to invitation to a in-store interview where you usually do tasks asked by the manager to perform.

The application process online for the Jobs in boots doesn't ask for any information regarding references 😕 as far as I know of, they might ask you to provide references at any potential interview but I haven't heard anyone who recently started in my branch mentioning anything at references as they started about a week after there interview which tells me they don't really any references but the branch manager in your own local area might ask you for them.

Good luck with your own application for boots and hopefully I'll hear some good news from you in the coming weeks ahead.

Hi
Thanks for your response 😄 😄

At least you know now that you'll only be paid for any training you do while you are working in-store at boots... I have known people actually doing it at home but unfortunately unpaid which I think is wrong.

Hopefully you will enjoy your job at boots when you start and don't panic about you failing any of online training because it doesn't affect your job with them as only your pay is affected each year ( basically it means that you'll not be paid any rises each April okay if you fail your online training - if you pass it then you'll be paid as per pay rise each year).

Hello,

I need help regarding the boots Onboarding Portal. I was given a verbal job offer by store manager at boots and he told me I will receive email with links for Onboarding Portal but unfortunately I received an email that my application is unsuccessful. Can you please guide me what to do? I have already informed the store Manager about this. Thank you

If you were told by a manager verbally that you have a offer then the only thing you can really do is get in touch with that particular store manager and ask them what is going on.
Is there anyway you can pop in to that particular store and ask for the manager and see what they say.

Ungrateful you never trust anyone until you actually receive the job offer I'm afraid 😔 😔 😔 sometimes what you get told verbally doesn't happen so reason why you shouldn't get your hopes up until you know through the official system or by a phone call giving you a offer plus your starting date etc.

official they should have told you to wait until you receive a email with the offer but unfortunately it looks like you were unsuccessful with what you saying according to your online account details.
