Bristol accommodation

I am in year 13 and I have firmed University of Bristol. I live quite far away and train prices are quite expensive so I was hoping to bring a car but parking is very limited.
I was wondering does anyone have reviews on Richmond terrace, University hall and Durham hall accommodation on like what it’s like and also what are your reviews about bringing a car to Bristol
From my experience of Bristol, bringing a car is not worth it. It is very difficult to find parking anywhere and the university itself advise that you don't - I don't think they have much parking at the accommodation. If you are concerned about transport around the city, a bike is probably most efficient followed by public transport.

i think that bringing a car is almost never worth it at uni but i do understand how expensive train tickets can be!!!!

you will have the term dates well in advance so if you set a reminder on the toc's websites for the advance tickets and get yourself a railcard it should be quite reasonable xx

I certainly agree with the other posters who advise against bringing a car to Bristol. You'll be relying on being able to get a parking permit for your residence -- which I suspect will be in very short supply unless, for example, you have a disability.

See https://www.bristol.ac.uk/accommodation/parking/student-parking/ for the university's information.

The university itself is surrounded by residents parking zones and there is very little in the way of on-street parking outside those areas.

Also, note that the university butts up against Bristol's Clean Air Zone.

Rail travel is expensive, but as has been suggested (a) get a railcard, and (b) plan ahead and buy Advance tickets.
Received conditional offer letter from uni of Bristol in the month of March , I have fulfilled all my condition requirements and yet I have not received any response with regards to my CAS letter, however they have requested to wait as my documents are under review. So I am worried if it is too late for CAS letter as I am starting my course from September.
Also I have applied for student accommodation and have paid my deposit for PG law , but am not quite sure if I have guaranteed accommodation or non- guaranteed accommodation.
Are private accommodation better than uni accommodation for postgraduate international students in university of Bristol?
I want a quiet environment and ensuit which is near to the university.
Please help me out guys..
