Similar to yesterday, you have u and a for each of the coordinates and you want to work out t such that the direction of motion is as given. So the ratio of the i/j coordinates of each vector are the same.
Hi, use v=u+at, you are given u and a, set time as an unknown variable eg t for simplicity; then set the final velocity as a multiple of the given direction of motion, say x(3i-4j). input all this into v=u+at and then equate the I and j components. I solved this via simultaneous equations to get t and the final velocity at t.
Thank you so much everyone! 🙂🙂
