Aerospace or Aeronautical

Help, last minute wobble ! I prefer aeronautical eng. but what is the down to put an aerospace option as my backup plane ( 2nd option). Are they really that different ?!
At undergraduate level the difference is purely semantics, even in industry engineers will use the words: aviation industry & aerospace industry interchangeably. Any modules related to space (or astronautics) are likely to be optional modules in later years and you’ll almost certainly cover aeronautical aircraft propulsion, aerodynamic & avionics in both aeronautical & aerospace degrees.

It has just become fashionable to use term aerospace.

It’s alright, it takes time to figure out.

The reality is unless you’re in an engineering environment the subtleties & language is not something you would become accustomed to (even in an engineering environment unless you’re working in specific sectors you may not be exposed to it).
