Do I have a good skincare routine - 20 year old male

AM - just wash face with water then apply spf
PM - Cleanse face with cleanser then just apply a moisturizer

For my acne I'm on antibiotics. Is this a good skincare routine or should I add more products.

Are you on lymecycline ? You should consider a cleanser as through the night gunk oils seep through pores which can feed bacteria. At night you definitely need a cleanser not just water to wash the impurities and spf off. Something with salicylic acid as it can penetrate the pores but combined with gluconate/bisabol or oat so it can be moisturising. Pm routing is good but consider a toner after cleaning.

it doesnt matter. your will age just the same as everyone else and your acne depends on your genetics unless there is some chemical you are putting on your face causing irritation. trust me

Just because you add more products doesn't mean ur skin is gonna get better. Sometimes simple is key. Is there anything specific that you want to work on?

Seeing as ur on lymecycline, using a retinoid isn't recommended. I mean those will just go away over time. Is vitamin c or niacinamide an option for you? You could also try talking to a dermatology about using a retoid as lymecycline can be used with epidou or differen. It can help you speed up the process of getting rid of scarring but its still prescribed by a derm as it can irritate ur skin. This isn't necessary but it's just a quicker method. Using niacinamide or vitiamin C might do the trick too.
Having glass skin also means ur skin is plum and hydrated - and ur skin barrier is strong. So make sure u hydrate ur skin with a good moisturizer and you can throw in a serum like hyaluronic acid.
Remeber that diet and water intake is very important too

thanks for ur help any suncreen and cleanser recommendations?

I recommend the no.7 sunscreen, my mum used it for like 14 years and she hasn’t gotten a single wrinkle so I think it’s pretty good, it’s not too greasy and it has a nice shine. But if grease triggers acne don’t use it, my mum and I have really dry skin types. Remember to reapply any sync every 2 hours!

As for cleansing I would recommend using an oil based cleanser and a water based cleanser after, double cleansing is what you need for glass skin! Make sure you use one for your skin type, I specifically use the CeraVe cleansers and if your acne prone I think the salicylic acid cleansers would be best! Make sure to get the type for u skin type, it says it on the bottles

Hi I cannot use salicylic acid for some reason I tried the cerave SA cleanser and lrp effaclar duo which both have salicylic acid n it gave me really bad acne. I'm currently using the cerave foaming cleanser which seems decent but recently after cleansing my skin feels weird like its being stripped of everything I dunno if it's cuz I'm using moisturiser that's too light maybe. I tried double cleansing I used the annual oil then I tried the skin1004 oil but they both broke me out and have fragrance so I just stopped double cleansing completely. I just use that cerave foaming cleanser now.
Ohh okay, sorrryyy, stick to the foaming cleanser then, I use it too lol

I can tell you a supplement which is really really good for Skin quality ,even on older people. It is called Astaxanthin and you can get it is capsules. It is best if contained in capsule with sunflower oil as that increases the affect.

If it works? More doesn’t always equal better. I have friends try new products when their skin was fine and it lead to breakouts

Yes agreed, if it is fine then leave alone. As they say "if it ain't broke don't fix it"

Try glycolic acid 7% by the ordinary, I have hyperpigmentation (I have darker skin) and it made my skintone more even and really smoothed out my texture like got rid of little bumps. I recommend only using it 2 to 3 times a week and ONLY AT NIGHT because it makes your skin sun sensitive( so wear sunscreen the day after). I never really got pimples in my life so I don’t know if it causes breakouts or not so I suggest you buy a smaller bottle and test it out first. Hope this helps!
