Is he cheating? Or am I crazy?

Hi, please be kind. My other half makes me feel like I'm going crazy. He takes his phone wherever he goes, puts it down face down when he's home and sleeps with it under his pillow. I've called him out on this before and he swears he's not doing anything. Recently I spoke to him about whether or not he'd changed his notification setting on his lock screen as they used to show and stay until he looked at them and now they flash once and 'hide' so to speak until you swipe up. I know before anyone says the main issue lies with me and I don't trust him but I'm trying to be better.

Another thing is- as I'm on android and him iphone I don't know if there are certain differences that just make me feel I'm going crazy for instance if I have a WhatsApp update it comes from settings, do you get WhatsApp updates through actual WhatsApp on iphone or are they simply hidden notifications. Please help a girl out.

His phone is a personal belonging. How else is he supposed to communicate and socialise. Face down asleep is better than the face of the phone flat and the battery side facing downwards so no overheat or going warm so don’t see anything wrong with that. Your phone under your pillow normal…WhatsApp updates take place through the App Store at the touch of a button. A polite and gentle statement you might just have a insecurity issue and trust issue over your boyfriend.

Yeah i don't think he's cheating or anything, none of that raises any red flags. I'm seeing a lot of stuff on tiktok/ social media these days about these unrealistic expectations of relationships and this total (and frankly not healthy) openness that is probably not helping situations like these. I do think you should tell him about this though- in a non confrontational manner. He shouldn't react badly if you're just feeling a little unsure, and if you want to work on trusting him. otherwise this might build up for you and come out in a fight/ way that you can't control.
