Hi @Daing97,

My name is Susannah and I am a 2nd year Psychology with Criminology student at ARU Cambridge.

Our campus is well situated in the city. It's just a 20 minute walk from the train station, so if you plan on travelling in like I do this is handy. There is also plenty of accommodation around Cambridge either run by ourselves or other accommodation companies. If you would like to stay in accommodation but not sure where, I'd suggest looking at our page on current accommodation here: https://www.aru.ac.uk/student-life/accommodation/accommodation-in-cambridge

The campus is also a 5 minute walk from Grafton Centre, which includes a multitude of shops, a Vue cinema and some restaurants. It is also a 10-15 minute walk from Cambridge Town Centre.

There are plenty of buses running around Cambridge to get you where you want to be. The majority of bus services are run by Stagecoach.

In terms of student life, Wetherspoons in the town centre is popular, as well as Cambridge Leisure Centre, which includes bowling, karaoke, a cinema, and food establishments such as Nando's and Creams. There are also plenty of clubs in the city. The Student Union also run multiple events throughout the year, and have many societies you can join and attend events with. I myself am a member of 'The Shy People Society', and a society for travelling students called 'I'm Going Home After This'. We also have many sports teams that you can join.

In terms of the campus itself, there are plenty of facilities to fulfil your needs. There are multiple places for you to grab food and drink. We also have a gym with discounted membership for our students. There are plenty of study spaces in the library, and the Student's Union has some study areas too. We have two Student Union shops on campus where you can buy supplies you may need for your course, stationary, ARU hoodies and tops, and some food and drink. You can find out more here: https://www.aru.ac.uk/student-life/life-on-campus/cambridge-campus/welcome-to-our-cambridge-campus

If you haven't already, you can check out the campus at one of our open days. The next one is 8th June or there is one on 17th August. You can book your place here: https://www.aru.ac.uk/study/open-day/book-your-place

Alternatively, you can book a campus tour with us. These run every Friday between 12pm and 2pm and you will be guided by one of our experienced student ambassadors. You can book a camous tour here: https://www.aru.ac.uk/study/open-day/campus-tours

You can also access our virtual campus tour here if you would like to get exploring right away: https://experience.aru.ac.uk/

I hope this has been helful for you and let us know if you have any more questions 🙂
