I think im lost!!

so, i'm a young Nigerian teen, 18 years old, and i aspire to make a difference in my local community.and for this to happen, i know i need quality education which is not easily obtainable here in africa.
i have managed to scrape up all my savings plus inputs from my parents totaling $8000 and i have also gotten an admission at the university of reeds.
but the main debacle is that i have used up almost half my initial money and i still dont have enough to pay my rent and other minor expenses.
so now im asking, would it be just better if i hadnt come at all and just managed whatever education i could get back at home or is there any other way i can navigate my way to the end?
i feel like im at a dead end here.

How exactly? There's more than one way to make a difference

and for this to happen, i know i need quality education
it depends on the circumstances

which is not easily obtainable here in africa
whilst I can agree in some areas, I have come across a number of very bright African students (some are Nigerians) studying in the UK. So there are some unis that are doing things properly.

university of reeds.
Never heard of the university. A quick google search suggests University of Leeds and Reeds College. Can you clarify this?

Have you checked the university bursary or what scholarship funds you can get from Nigeria (which I have no doubt are difficult to obtain).

Depends on the specifics (note the above). I'm not an expert in Nigerian education, funds for students, or education in general, but I might be able to point you in the right direction if you can be specific on some matters.

Are you presently in the UK and destitute?

You may find your Uni has a hardship fund for International students (this is less common as International Students are supposed to arrive here after price they can support themselves for the entire course).

International students are usually able to work 20 hours or so per week which can result in up to £228 per week income, depending on age, nearly £1000 per month.

Most Unis offer advice how to find part time employment and hardship resources like foodbanks.

Have you found any National or local charities that support International students or Nigerians visiting the UK?
