I also have problems focusing during exam season. Do you feel as if you really really need to revise this close to exams? If tiring yourself out with revision is affecting your exams negatively rather than positively (since you're getting super tired in the middle of exams) then you should probably just give yourself a break and rest. If you've studied hard throughout the year then you will do well! Then again I have no idea of the subjects you're doing...I hope this still helps though

Take more breaks!

And practice in exam conditions with a timer to improve your focus.

I'm using Tilf website to practice mock exams and get a mark and I'm setting up a timer on the side then I take a long break and I try again! The feedback helps me understand what to focus on and the timer helps me see how I'm doing with exam conditions!

Hey there! To tackle daydreaming during revision, try active learning techniques like teaching the material aloud or summarizing key points verbally. This can keep your mind engaged and make your study sessions more effective.

For more efficient studying, consider practicing under exam conditions to get used to the 2-hour format and using feedback to refine your revision strategy.
Good luck!

Hi @Smart282,

I had a similar problem as you back when I was doing my A-Levels. I highly recommend you try to revise using the pomodoro technique! It's an effective revision timer that trains your brain to refocus whilst encouraging short breaks during your revision period. I still use it til this day and it's helped me loads! There are websites and apps on your phone that have the pomodoro timer which I use almost everyday, personally, I use Flora - Green Focus.

Hope this helps,

What helped me was doing lots of bite sized sessions. I would revise for 15 mins, then take a 5 min break and keep repeating this for a couple hours. Eventually I got tired of taking the breaks and started doing 30 mins then 5 min break. Hope this helps!
