Does my male best friend still likes me more?

GUYS! i need a help from you. I have a male best friend since october 2020. We started texting and somehow ended up staying in touch every single day.. we became close best friends. I’ve never seen him as anyone more, obv he liked me more but was hiding it but i didnt care since i saw him as a friend and he knew it. Texting every day for 4 years it’s really annoying to me now. A year ago he conffesed to me, he liked me more than a friend… not a big news for me anyway since he said he liked me and he is over, I was thinking maybe the daily contact will reduce. But guess what, absolutely no! I moved to China a year ago, 2 months after his confessing. The contact hasn’t stop, now when I clearly ignore his messages or put like on them he doesn’t understand he texts more, he double texts, when we go one day without texting he is probably dying and cannot survive this, texts right away the day after. I haven’t initiated first message for a month now.. he is blind.. is he really that obsessed with me? He really cannot let go on me, please guys what does it mean please help me answer this

Think about whether this friendship is still good for you, and if needed, step back for your own well-being.

As a guy I can tell you first hand a lot of us are really dumb and blind when it comes to liking someone, you have to be clear about what you want to happen with some people. Especially if you're both Chinese (I'm not being racist here, I'm Chinese too) but some Asian guys are really bad when it comes to just being friends with girls, so just make it blantantly obvious that you want him to chill out and he probably will
