Sociology degree and careers

I want to do a sociology degree at uni but I'm worried I'll only be able to go into charity work/public sector which I'm less interested in. If anyone has done a soc degree, what are your current careers? thanks :smile:

@baker12

Hello! I did a Sociology degree and I got a 1st. I followed that with a PGCE and became a social sciences teacher in an F.E college, I've also taught film & Media, health studies, psychology and criminology on the back of it. I also self funded a PGC SENDco qualification so I can specialise in support SEND learners which has made me more employable (in theory).

A lot of private companies are looking for social science students for their management graduate programs
